Greg Jacobs is a jazz pianist residing in Oakland, California. He has been performing about five times a week since 2013, and has performed at many of the premier Jazz venues in the Bay Area, including the SF JAZZ Miner Auditorium, Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society, The Sound Room, Blue Note Napa, Club Deluxe, Piedmont Piano, Mr Tipples Recording Studio, Keys Jazz Bistro, the Black Cat, The Backroom, Bird And Beckett, and The Impulse Room, as well as at  Jazz festivals including the Monterey Jazz Festival, Healdsburg Jazz Festival, Fillmore Jazz Festival, Stanford Jazz Festival, and the Half Moon Bay Jazz and Wine Festival. He also teaches private lessons, has worked in musical theater, holds a position as Music Director since 2020 at a church in San Francisco, and has worked as accompanist for classical vocalists.

Some of his main influences are Art Tatum, Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, Bud Powell, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Erroll Garner, McCoy Tyner, Wynton Kelly, and Sonny Clark. But he draws from a very wide range of musical idioms.
